This open-access model supports flexibility, variety, and pilot choice
ACARS & Flight Tracking
Wy’East Airlines Virtual uses FlightLinq ACARS for all official flights. The ACARS system automatically tracks your flight from pushback to shutdown, ensuring accurate logging and seamless PIREP submission. Details down to landing centerline and bounces are even tracked, to allow for detailed analysis of pilot performance and growth.
This approach removes the need for manual reporting and allows pilots to focus on flying, while providing staff with reliable operational data and live flight visibility.
Flight Booking & Scheduling
All flights at Wy’East Airlines Virtual are booked directly through the FlightLinq platform. FlightLinq serves as our single source for schedules, flight assignment, live tracking, and PIREP submission.
Pilots may choose from published routes or route sequences that align with the Wy’East network. Pilot my also fly carter operations between any airports, allowing for maximum flexibility. Once a flight is selected in FlightLinq, pilots are free to plan and operate the flight using their preferred tools and simulator.
Since each aircraft is individually flown, once booked a flight must be flown within 3 hours or it will be automatically canceled and released back. 3 auto cancellations in one month will trigger a violation.
Weather, Alternates & Diversions
Pilots are encouraged to fly using real-world weather, though simulator-defined weather is permitted. Flights should be planned with realistic fuel reserves and a suitable alternate airport when conditions require.
Diversions to pre-planned alternates are fully allowed and considered a normal part of operations. Any diversion can be noted in the ACARS via FlightLinq
Simulation Settings & Time Acceleration
Wy’East Airlines Virtual supports a wide range of simulation styles. Pilots may use time acceleration up to 4× during offline operations, typically during cruise.
When flying on live ATC networks such as VATSIM, IVAO, or PilotEdge, flights must be conducted in real time with no time acceleration.
Advanced Aircraft Management
Wy’East Virtual Airlines features advanced aircraft management that adds depth and realism beyond simply logging flights. Aircraft are tracked across the fleet, allowing usage, cycles, and operational history to influence their condition over time. As pilots fly, aircraft accrue wear that can require scheduled maintenance, inspections, or temporary grounding—encouraging thoughtful aircraft selection and realistic operational decision-making.
This system enhances immersion without being punitive: maintenance events are transparent, fair, and designed to simulate real airline operations rather than restrict enjoyment. The result is a living fleet that rewards consistency, adds strategic depth to flying, and gives pilots the feeling of contributing to a shared airline operation—just like in the real world.
